Cancer of cervix has the highest mortality rate in women in Colombia. Most serious problems are poverty, ignorance and early sexual contact. It’s a very complex trouble and we have to act immediately.

Firstly, the Colombian government has to help women who haven’t got resources for paying a medical consultation, for example free medical assistance or brigades. Therefore, we can avoid cancer growth and give an effective treatment.

Secondly, cytology campaigns are a useful tool for informing and encouraging female population to take care of themselves. The result would be to make an early diagnosis and prevent unnecessary deaths.

Finally, the key is the sexual education at home and the school. We should live step by step; a speedy life is a waste of time and it’s probable we can have very serious problems.

There are many ways to improve women life’s quality with simple actions, responsibility and commitment.
